Living with my wife and three daughters has been a real experience for me. I always wanted a son, but it was not to be.

To all the men in the world that has experienced relationships with three different daughters, I salute you. I must admit each relationship has been good. Each daughter has their own personalities, likes, and dislikes.

I would like to share a few tips on how to get along with three daughters.

Getting to know each one of their personalities is a must.
Spend quality time with each daughter according to their needs.
Allow each daughter to express their own opinion in a respected way.
Interfere when there are disagreements, but only when it is necessary.
Respect your daughters' privacy.
Trust your daughters' judgments and self-confidence in themselves.
Support their dreams and desires. It is their dreams and desires, not yours.
Allow each daughter to make mistakes without telling them "I told you so."
Know when to listen and when to talk.
Keep a mutual understanding with your daughters that you are the dad!

Teaching your daughters the importance of self respect, a high self-esteem, and a respect for others will ultimately bring about a relationship that you can be proud of.

Good relationships with a wife, daughter, or son starts with a foundation based on trust, respect, support, and self-confidence.
